Thank you for your interest in putting your dance piece in the concert! We aim for a variety of styles, energy, and ability levels.
Choreographers should also know that you will be in charge of a certain element of the show production from finding ushers/ticket takers, to bake sale, or flower sales. You will also be asked to help lay the marley at the high school. New Choreographers can request a mentor choreographer if needed! We aim for this to continue growing and want to set you up for success.
We are incredibly excited to get things rolling for the 53rd Steamboat Dance Theatre Annual Concert!
We know many of you are awaiting dates, and rest assured those are coming soon. We are waiting on confirmation from the high school for our concert dates in late March, as soon as we have those we will release the schedule. While we wait, we want you all to be the first to hear about the choreographer interest meeting.

The theme this year is Metamorphosis. Our inspiration behind this theme is the major growth and change that Steamboat Dance Theatre has experienced over the past few years as an organization. This theme embraces change, despite the challenges along the way, as a means towards emerging a more resilient and radiant version of ourselves on the other side.
Begin brainstorming how this theme can inspire your choreographic vision. Please come to our choreographer interest meeting prepared to share the following:
Music, Genre of Dance, Ability Level, Number of Dancers, Costume Ideas, Any prop/technical wants/needs, Connection to theme/concept, Preferred rehearsal time (you may not be able to get your preference)
