In order to further its mission, SDT accepts tax-deductible contributions from corporations, patrons, supporters, and dance fans and raises additional funds through direct solicitations, fundraisers, and other events.

SDT is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Consider how your support directly benefits our organizational programming. Below each donation level are some examples of how your donation could impact our organization. Your donation will be utilized to meet the greatest need and it is not limited to what is listed below. Donors will be recognized on our website and in the Annual Concert Program.

Below are some examples of the SDT Programs that your donation will make possible:

  • Ballerina – $100
    • Your donation will provide a scholarship for one young dancer to attend a dance class for one month
  • Deux- $250
    • Your donation will help SDT offer free dance documentaries to the community through our Dance on Film partnerships with Bud Werner Library and Perry-Mansfield.
  • Divertissement- $500
    • Your donation will help SDT pay an instructor to offer quarterly dance classes to Casey’s Pond residents.
  • Développé- $750
    • Your donation will help SDT bring dance programming to two 3rd grade classrooms.
  • Grande- $1000
    • Your donation will provide scholarship funding for tuition for one individual’s dance class studio for a year.
  • Jeté- $2500
    • Your donation will cover the cost of offering after school dance programming for 50 students throughout the school year.
  • Pirouette- $5000
    • Your donation will help SDT in-school dance programming for all 3rd graders in Routt County.
  • Relevé- $10,000
    • Your donation will help SDT invest in planning for a future Yampa Valley Performing Arts Center.

GINA LOUISE TOOTHAKER MEMORIAL FUND

In honor of Gina Louise Toothaker, who passed away tragically and suddenly on 11/12/2022, SDT is creating a campaign to commission an artist for creation, completion, and installation of a Dancing Fairy statue to be placed somewhere within the community in the next 3-5 years.  Any funds received in excess of the cost will go into the scholarship fund under her name to be used for adult dance classes.
