Amy Flint

Scholarship Fund for Dance and Technical Production Training

Amy served on the Steamboat Dance Theatre Board of Directors, including serving as President in 2004. She was the Stage Manager for several years and went on to become our Technical Director. She was also one of the founding members of Steamboat Dance Theatre’s Dance Scholarship Program.

When Amy Flint passed away, her husband, Jonathan, set up a fund for each of her two loves; Steamboat Dance Theaterand the Routt County Humane Society. People who admired and loved Amy, knew that her love of dance and the ability to take classes brought her incredible joy.

Most of the dance theater members knew Amy for her skills in the tech booth and backstage. One of Amy’s gifts was training interested high school students who went on to be technical producers for Steamboat Dance Theatre and beyond.

Who is this scholarship for?

This scholarship is to be awarded to those who have never danced, but are looking for an opportunity to follow their dreams of dance, or for those looking to further their education in the technical production area.

Jonathan says of Amy “she got a great opportunity and it’s time to pay it forward.”
