How SDT provides

Community Enrichment

Our Community Enrichment Programs focus on offering dance programming for dancers and non-dancers alike. Through these programs, SDT partners with other arts non-profits, the local school district, and local dance studios to offer a wide array of events and opportunities such as:

Master Dance Classes

SDT partners with local studios to bring talent from around the country to Steamboat to offer professional level dance instruction. As a small, remote community it can be challenging for local dancers to access professional-level and diverse dance instruction. To help address that need, SDT finds dance instructors from a multitude of backgrounds to offer local classes. We typically able to offer an average of two master classes a year.

Dance On Film

SDT partners with the Bud Werner Memorial Library to bring a diverse array of dance films to Steamboat. These films are FREE to attend. Please find our most current showtimes at Bud Werner Memorial Library Events.

Annual Concert

Steamboat Dance Theatre plays a vital role in supporting the community by organizing its annual concert, a highly anticipated event that showcases local talent and fosters a deep appreciation for the arts. This concert not only provides a platform for dancers of all ages and skill levels to perform, but it also brings the community together to celebrate creativity and expression.
