Bella Movement is a boutique dance school pleased to offer quality, affordable, and non-competitive dance instruction. Dance is a form of education and should not be taken lightly. Working with each individual, whether taking dance class for fun, recreation, exercise or a professional career, proper training must be the first concern. This includes correct stretching, conditioning, technique, and showmanship. We educate our students mentally as well as physically, with the goal of building self-esteem and confidence. Offering Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Hip Hop for children ages 3.5 years old and up.
Classes are offered in two semesters: Fall Semester (August-December) and Spring Semester (January-May) with a recital in early May.
For adults Bella Movement offers fitness programs by instructors trained with master certifications in BASI pilates, Bachlor's Degree in Kinesiology, Advanced TRX Systems ,Master Trainer in Barre, and personal training.

Emma Sharp- SDT Partner Instructor
Emma Sharp is a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. She has been dancing for 16 years, and teaching for 4 years. Emma has taught ballet, contemporary and modern at several studios including The Children's Ballet and Movement Company in Massachusetts, Steamboat Academy of Music and Dance, and, most recently, Bella Movement. Having moved to Steamboat in the summer of 2024, Emma was thrilled to discover a vibrant, thriving dance community, and jumped right into teaching, dancing, performing, and choreographing in Steamboat.
As a children's dance teacher, Emma's goal is to make high quality dance education fun and interesting for kids and teens. Her classes focus on healthy and clean technique, combined with the upbeat and energetic class environment that her students love. As an adult dance teacher, Emma's goal is to create a strong, clean foundation of technique, while exploring the beauty and grace of dance.

Class Description: Scott offers partner dance lessons in the Latin, Ballroom, Swing, West Coast Swing, and Tango dances. If you don’t know where to begin I will help point you in the right direction. Whether you want to get ready for a wedding, dance event, or you just want to try something new, he’ll help get you a program to get you there. Private lessons, group classes, and parties available.
Bio: Scott Goodhart started his teaching career with Arthur Murray Dance Studios. In his fourth year teaching he was ranked in Arthur Murray's top ten teachers in the world. In 2014 he moved to May I Have This Dance, voted Chicago's Best Dance Studio 2015. He's been fortunate to have worked with some of the best coaches in the world and now specializes in teaching a wide variety of dance styles to people with a large range of skill levels. He's experienced in teaching one-on-one, couples, and group classes.
HoneySpell, Mandy Quinones- Partner Instructor
A proud Steamboat local, Mandy Quinones discovered her passion for dance as an adult through Steamboat Dance Theatre and has been lighting up the stage for the past decade. With a deep love for choreography and production, she has performed with several companies, including Forty106, Jasmir, Barefoot Bhakti, and Hokunani Hula. In 2023, Mandy co-founded a local burlesque troupe, sparking a new creative chapter that led her to launch her own burlesque and variety troupe, HoneySpell, alongside a board of her closest collaborators. She thrives on teaching hip-hop to new dancers and delights in crafting dark, compelling narratives through her choreography.

Lex Create offers private and community dance instruction for all ages, focusing on fun, high-energy classes and custom choreography. Instructor and Coach, Alexa Kaminski, specializes in Jazz, Jazz Funk, Contemporary, Lyrical, Ballet, Pom, and creative movement. In addition to dance, Alexa also runs a local creative business that offers custom embroidery and digital design services. Perry-Mansfield is the oldest continuously operating performing arts school and camp in the country that attracts 250 students (ages 7 through adult professional students) from across the country, and showcases over twenty performances each summer. During the fall, winter and spring The Academy at Perry-Mansfield offers dance and theatre classes for youth through adults after school, evenings, and weekends. A little bit about Courtney: Passionate about movement, Courtney is a certified snowboard instructor at Steamboat Resort, and guides students of all ages toward lifelong skills with compassion and expertise. As a dance teacher at Elevation Dance Studio and Artistic Director of Steamboat Dance Theatre, she inspires confidence and creativity in youth and adults alike through various dance styles. When not on the slopes or in the studio, she supplies chefs and local markets with organic veggies as a Mountain Bluebird Farmer in Hayden, CO.

Tiana's dance journey is deeply woven into the fabric of the Yampa Valley. Her extensive training spans virtually every Western dance style, giving her a comprehensive perspective that elevates the entire dance community with professional-level insight and expertise.
Tiana has been a cornerstone of the local dance scene for over 30 years, inspiring students across Routt County. She's worn many hats over the years– from Vice President and Scholarship Chair at Steamboat Dance Theatre to Choreographer and Artistic Director. For 13 years, she was an instructor and powered Elevation Dance Studio as their Program and Competition Director, building a strong foundation for countless dancers.
Tiana brings the perfect blend of professional dance expertise, deep community roots, and real-world parent perspective as the mom of a pre-professional ballet dancer. She doesn't just teach dance – she lives and breathes the entire dance family experience!
Tiana is available for Artistic Direction, Production Management, Private Lessons, Group and Solo Choreography, and Career Consulting.

Zulaika- SDT Partner Instructor
Dance) to traditional Arab folk dances, it and has been a labor of love all the way! She has
performed as a soloist at Arabic restaurants and weddings in Minneapolis, was a founding
member of the Jawaahir Dance Company, and teacher of beginner through advanced dance
students at the Cassandra school. Zulaika has traveled nationally and internationally to study
with master teachers learning Raqs Sharqi and regional dances of Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco,
Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and Algeria.
After relocating to Seattle in 2007, Zulaika has continued to travel, to study, and to share her
passion through classes, workshops, performances, and educational programs. Currently, she
teaches via Zoom and is a rostered teaching artist with Seattle’s Creative Advantage, and
4Culture.
As a part-time resident of Steamboat Springs, Zulaika is excited to bring these vibrant dance
traditions to the community via Zoom classes and local pop-up classes, workshops, and events.

For musicians and singers interested in Arabic music:
Founded in 1997, the Arabic Music Retreat features instruction in all facets of Arabic music – including technique, theory, and repertoire. It is considered the premier Arabic music program in the United States.
Led by internationally renowned musician Simon Shaheen, the Retreat brings world-class instruction of Arabic music to the campus of Mount Holyoke College in the town of South Hadley, in western Massachusetts. The event takes place each summer, when the campus is quiet and in its full summer glory.
Emerald Sanctuary Belly Dance Retreat is an annual belly dance retreat in the high desert of Central Washington within Sun Lakes-Dry Falls State Park. Regional and local instructors offer an exciting range of workshops for the beginner to the seasoned dancer. This years instructors are: Amy Sigil, Emilie Lauren, and Zulaika.
