3rd Position Scholarship

Steamboat Dance Theater 3rd Position (Round 1) – YOUTH Ages 3-17

Applications are accepted for two weeks during two separate rounds.
Round 1: Sept 1-15, 2025
Round 2: March 1-15, 2026

Applications will be reviewed between the 15th of the month and the end of the month, with award notifications by the 1st of the following month. Late applications will not be considered.

What it Funds:  (note this scholarship is NOT restricted to classes in Routt County)

  • Dance Workshops, Intensives, or Conventions in Routt County or outside of Routt County
  • Seasonal performance tuition (Only a portion of the total expense can be considered for a scholarship, as we do not fund costume expenses – please include YOUR total expense where asked on the application.)
  • Non-semester-based classes (ie: Classes that are just one day or a 4-week series, etc.)
  • Other Classes outside of Routt County Application Window and Funding Periods:

For Round 1: You may apply for any workshop/classes in the present or future (up to 3 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between October-December 2025)

For Round 2 ONLY: You may apply for any retroactive or future workshops/classes (up to 2 months after the workshop or up to 4 months in advance. Funding can be used for classes/workshops/seasonal performance tuition that take place between Jan 2026 – July 2026)
