Conversation Circle With Donna Mejia and Amy Sigil About Practices, Language, Values, Norms and Integrity In Our Dance Community
Donna Mejia is an Associate Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in Dance at CU Boulder Theatre and Dance Department, she is also a choreographer, scholar, instructor, and performer specializing in contemporary dance, traditions of the African and Arab Diaspora, and emerging fusion traditions in Transcultural Electronica.
Amy Sigil is an international instructor in dance and team building, director of UNMATA, owner of Hot Pot Studios and the creator of Improvisational Team Sync (ITS). She has been studying dance for over 20 years with training in Bellydance, American Tribal Style, Hula, and Tahitian.

On April 8, 2021, Diane Bartko, Licenced Professional Counselor, Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist and Approved Clinical Supervisor, who is a Clinical Instructor and Dance Therapy Concentration Coordinator for the Somatic Counseling Program at the Naropa University in Boulder, Co, presented on the therapeutic benefits of dance movement.

Annual Concert
The Annual Concert is a well-respected dance concert that is produced, choreographed, and performed by local community members. The cast is made up of 100+ performers each year, mostly adult men & women, with a wide range of ability levels. To participate you must become a SDT member and audition. Follow us on Facebook for updates on auditions this Fall and other upcoming events.
